Multi-Engine Training

Accelerated Commercial Multi-Engine

A focused week for your next step in flying. Our accelerated commercial multi-engine program gives prepared, instrument-proficient pilots a structured plan, from Saturday evening ground instruction to a planned checkride the following Saturday.

8 days / 7 nights planned. $5,000 local or $5,300 with housing. DPE fee and applicable additional flight hours are extra.

Your Training Week

Set aside the week and arrive ready to train. Three ground sessions and four scheduled flight sessions focus on one-engine-inoperative aerodynamics, Seminole systems and performance.

Saturday evening: Ground 1 — OEI aerodynamics

Sunday: Flight 1

Monday: Ground 2 — Seminole systems

Tuesday: Flight 2

Wednesday: Flight 3

Thursday: Flight 4

Friday: Ground 3 — Performance, IACRA and an additional flight if needed

Following Saturday: Planned checkride

This is a planned 8-day, 7-night schedule, not a guaranteed completion date. Confirm dates and checkride arrangements before booking travel. Flight sessions do not define an included flight-hour allowance; request the program scope before enrolling.

Arrive Ready to Train

This compressed program is designed for pilots who already have a strong foundation. Make time before arrival to study the provided materials and refresh these skills.

Study the ground topics: Be ready to explain one-engine-inoperative (OEI) aerodynamics, Seminole systems and performance.

Be proficient in instrument flying: Arrive comfortable flying instrument approaches. The schedule does not include time to teach these skills from the beginning.

Know the avionics basics: Arrive with a basic working understanding of the Garmin G1000 avionics suite and GFC 700 autopilot.

Not sure whether the accelerated format fits? Share your certificates, ratings and recent flying when you request program details so we can discuss your training needs and confirm entry requirements.

Common Questions

Who is the accelerated program designed for?

Prepared, instrument-proficient pilots pursuing commercial multi-engine training. Share your certificates, ratings and experience so we can discuss fit and confirm entry requirements.

How much flight time is included?

The plan lists four flight sessions and a possible additional Friday flight. Request the included flight-hour allowance before enrolling. Additional flight hours beyond the normal program may be billed at $485 per hour. Confirm when that rate applies, what it covers and any separate checkride aircraft charges.

Is the checkride fee included?

No. Budget $800–$1,200, depending on the examiner, paid directly to the DPE in cash on checkride day.

What if I need more training or the schedule changes?

The eight-day timeline is a plan. Ask about additional training costs, weather or maintenance delays, checkride rescheduling, retests and extended housing needs before committing to dates.

What does the housing option include?

The $5,300 option provides housing; the $5,000 local-student option does not. Request housing details for your dates before choosing an option.

How do I plan my training?

Tell us your preferred dates, current certificates and ratings, and whether you need housing. An inquiry does not reserve a date. Confirm the program scope, entry requirements, costs, scheduling, payment and cancellation terms before enrolling.
